How does your delivery process
work?
Every
night, Sunday through Thursday, there will be a cooler containing 5
wonderful meals, a menu, and ice packs left at your doorstep;
no bell will be rung.
The foods should be kept cooled using the supplied ice pack or
refrigeration, and may be re-heated as appropriate. We advise
keeping the cooler bag of food with you if you plan on being away
from home for more than one hour of the day. Please leave the cooler
bag outside your door each evening by 6:00 p.m. so that we may
deliver a fresh bag of food in exchange for the empty cooler bag.
What is the pricing for multiple
persons in the same household?
The minimum
length of the program is 30 days (5 days per week for 6 weeks).
The total charge per person for this service is $1,198.50 plus
applicable local sales tax. There will be a one time
refundable deposit per person charged upon signing of $30.00 to
cover the cost of the ice packs and cooler.
What happens if you are out of
town for a day or two during one of the weeks?
If you plan on
being away temporarily, please notify us with at least 3 days, and
your service be placed on hold. The days that you are out will
be added to the remaining period of your contract.

Do you have the ability to
exclude certain foods due to either allergies or dislike?
We work with your
food allergies and dislikes. When we prepare your meals, we
substitute the item that you can not eat with another vegetable or
protein.
I only eat seafood and tofu.
Can you prepare a diet that suits my needs?
We individualize
our program based on our clients health needs. We take into account
your specific dietary goals as well as your food allergies, likes
and dislikes. More specifically, for vegetarians, we provide meals
free of red meat, or poultry products. In our experience
working with vegetarians, we found that adding one serving of fish
or seafood per day assists with the weight loss and provides for
more variety of the meals. However, we can provide a total
vegetarian program at an additional fee.
What is the nutritional
philosophy behind the weight loss? Is it low sugar, low
carbohydrates, portion control etc?
Our program
is based a 30-30-40 combination of fats, proteins and carbohydrates.
We to follow the tenants of the diet written by Dr. Barry Sears. The
concept of eating 5-6 small, well balanced meals has been around for
least 50 years, and used by body builders such as Charles Atlas. Our
program is not specifically a low carbohydrate program, but a
modified carbohydrate intake, where we control the portion size and
the amount of calories consumed.
Can you provide meals that are
Gluten Free, specifically for people with Celiac disease?
Yes, we
have several clients with this illness.
I am current under physicians
carte for Diverticulitis. What type of program do you offer?
Yes, we
will prepare nut and seed free diets, peel tomatoes and other
vegetables.
Can you provide me with a menu
selection?
Because our
meals are cooked fresh daily, menu selections are difficult. We do
not freeze meals, everything is prepared in the morning and
delivered at night for your next days enjoyment. We found that
offering menu choices forced us to freeze meals and that is against
Chef Mario's philosophy.
